Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year agreement he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, contributing them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the first significant trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he previously was, and would certainly contemplate extending his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had eluded him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
